MPSC Tax Asst., Bailiff, Clerk, Clerk Typist - Typing Test (English)

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has opened the 1333 vacancies vide advertisement No. 049/2024 for various positions in Group C recruitment. After the main exam the MPSC will conduct typing test for the typing skill test for the posts of Tax Assistant, Bailiff, Clerk, and Clerk Typist. This test will be qualifying in nature. The test will taken for Marathi as well as English language separately and the candidate have to qualify in both test.

MPSC Marathi Typing Skill Test

For MPSC Typing Speed Test 2025 preparation, you can take test on Exam like software. Here you have exam like environment, passage will appear on upper side and you have to type bottom text box. The word is to be typed will highlighted in yellow as you type the word highlighting color will change, if you typed correct then it will highlight in green color if word is wrong then it will highlight in red color. You can use backspace key to correct typed words and error's. The test duration will be of 10 minutes. 

As you start typing your timer will start and will submit upon time elapsed. After completing exam test, it will show you detailed analysis of your typing skills and score you have obtained as per formula for MPSC Typing Skill Test.

  2. English Keyboard : QWERTY (English US)
  3. Marathi Passage : 300 word passage
  4. Marathi Keyboard : Remington Marathi Keyboard (Unicode based Font)
  5. Time : 10 Minutes
  6. Qualifying Speed English : 40 WPM (2000 Key Strokes)
  7. Qualifying Speed Marathi : 30 WPM (1500 Key Strokes)
  8. Test Language : English and Marathi both

MPSC Typing Test Evaluation

Typing Skill Test - In typing skill test you will given a passage of limited words (400 Words for English and 300 Words for Marathi) for typing in a allotted time(10 Minutes for Each). For English Typing Skill Test passage of 400 words given and 10 minutes time will be given for typing. Candidate have to copy (type) the given passage in a text box. For MPSC Typing test you have to achieve 2000 Key Strokes in English, and 1500 Keystrokes in Marathi Typing Test.

The Test will be of qualifying nature means no marks will be awarded for typing test.

MPSC Typing Test Error Calculation

After the submission of the test following errors are treated as Mistakes:-

  1.  For every omission of word.
  2.  For every substitution of a wrong word.
  3.  For every addition of a word not found in the passage.
  4.  For every spelling error committed by way of repetition or addition or transposition or omission or substitution of a letter/letters, e.g.: the word ‘spelling’ typed as ‘Speleeng’ etc.
  5.  Wrong Capitalisation: Wrong use of capital letter for small letter and vice-versa. (For English Typing only)
  6.  One Mistake = One Error

In the MPSC typing skill test, the error limit is set at 7% of total given words for both English Typing as well as for Marathi Typing. The candidates will get disqualified if error exceed the 7% error limit.

Example : Suppose the A candidate typed total 400 words in 10 Minutes in which he made 18 errors.

Total Words Typed - 400

Permissible Error = 7% of 400 = 28

Errors - 18

Final Prediction : Qualified
